Cardiff Cross Challenge 2013 – 20th January
Welcome to the Website of the McCain Cardiff Cross Challenge. Cardiff is the fourth fixture in the 2012/2013 McCain Cross Challenge series, which includes races in Bristol, Liverpool, Antrim and Birmingham.
Our event incorporates a full range of men’s, women’s and young person’s races and is open to runners of almost any age. Our 2013 event will incorporate a Celtic International for U17 / U20 / U23 age groups and an Inter-Area Match for Seniors. There will also be England Teams competing in the U20 / Senior races.
The course is marked to national standards and incorporates a mixture of flat fast running, and interesting woodland and riverside sections.
The Cardiff Cross Challenge takes place in the centre of Cardiff within the beautiful Castle grounds of Bute Park, that lead into Blackweir Fields.
Hotel accommodation is available within one kilometre of the Course. There are ample car parking spaces at Sophia Gardens which is just a short walk away.
There will be a Sports Shop, catering facilities and sports massage therapy available on the day, alongside the finishing straight.
